The nonprofit organization, Refugee Council USA (RCUSA) is partnering with tech giant Microsoft to host a refugee benefit concert. This event, titled “Ariose for Aleppo”, will be hosted on the twentieth anniversary of the UN’s World Refugee Day.
Why

The event is a fundraiser to support refugee resettlement efforts conducted by RCUSA.

Proceeds will go towards skills training, technology and educational equipment. This will be facilitated by Microsoft in order to help refugees enter the workforce in their host communities.

The event will be held at the Microsoft Theatre at 777 Chick Hearn Ct, Los Angeles, CA 90015.
When

The event will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2020. The concert will conclude with M.I.A.’s performance, which begins at 7 p.m.
Who

Performers include M.I.A., K'Naan, Regina Spektor and Rita Ora.

M.I.A., RCUSA Chair Bill Canny and Microsoft Executive Vice President of Human Resources Kathleen Hogan will make opening statements at the start of the concert.

Tickets start at $25, for general admission, and can be purchased starting on Dec. 18.
